CREATE AN ONLINE COMMUNITY

WebBoard by Akiva (TM) is a powerful and easy to use message board tool. It is the perfect solution for any association that wants to create an interactive online community. This is a third party solution that we setup for our clients. We configure the application, integrate it with our e-mail servers for e-mail participation, create user accounts, setup it to look like our clients' existing web sites, and we host the application.
Features -
SMTP Server - Send attachments with your posts via e-mail, subscribe and unsubscribe from conferences, use scriptable mail filters and send mail to two or more lists at once.
Integrated Chat - This chat technology is stable, secure and reliable while holding a rich feature set. It works with firewalls and provides automated transcribing and accessibility through wireless devices.
100 Boards - Administrators can setup an unlimited number of boards and chat rooms with the WebBoard Premium Edition. Each board can have its own WebBoard scheme for a custom look and feel that adjoins to the relevant chat room. The Premium Edition also includes Data Master that helps to manage larger communities.
HTML Archiving - With WebBoard you can create a portable archive of threaded WebBoard forums with built-in search or export forums as a static HTML web site.
Administrator E-mail Support - Administrators can now send direct e-mail to board managers, conference moderators, users on all discussion boards, users on a specific discussion board, and users of private conferences.
Moderation - Set up your boards so that all new posts and replies have to be approved by a moderator before being posted for public viewing.
Mailing List Management - WebBoard’s mailing list management tools lets administrators see who’s signed up for each mailing list on the site. They can subscribe users to mailing lists, remove users from mailing lists, see which mailing lists a given user is subscribed to, and make changes to the user’s subscriptions.
Watch Lists - WebBoard users can choose to mark a discussion topic that is of particular interest to them, and be notified by e-mail whenever a message is posted to that topic.
E-mail participation - With WebBoard’s mailing list capabilities, registered users can participate in conferences via e-mail. After subscribing to conference mailing lists, a user receives all messages posted to the conference and responds or posts new topics, all via e-mail. For users who prefer to participate through a browser but want to know about new messages without logging on, WebBoard can send e-mail notification of conferences with new messages once a day. The built-in SMTP mail server handles the incoming mail for WebBoard’s mailing list feature. It prevents unregistered or unauthorized users from posting messages by e-mail and bounces the messages back to the sender (if desired). WebBoard requires an external SMTP server for handling outgoing mail.
E-mail attachment hot link - WebBoard provided a quick and easy way to access e-mail attachments without overloading local hard drives. Attachments now appear as a hot link back to the WebBoard server.
Message search feature - WebBoard includes a search engine for finding specific text in message topics and message bodies, or finding messages by a specific author. Searches can be limited by conference or date, or sorted in a variety of ways including by weight. Full-text searches make finding specific information even faster.
Paging and broadcast message - The WebBoard administrator can broadcast a message to logged in users on all boards, for example, to warn of an impending system shut down. Board managers can broadcast to their board users.
